WHAT
IS HEALING?
Healing is the channelling of energies through the healer to the client. It re-energises
and relaxes the client to enable their own natural resources to deal with illness
or injury.
As well as assisting in relieving pain and restoring function, healing is notable
for helping to improve peoples attitudes, clarity of thought and quality of life.
CAN ANYONE RECEIVE HEALING?
To benefit from healing you need only be open and willing to receive the energy.
IS IT COMPLEMENTARY?
Healing complements, but is not a substitute for, orthodox medical treatment
and natural therapies. It can be given in conjunction with any other form of
treatment.
WILL THE PRACTITIONER DIAGNOSE?
No, healing practitioners do not diagnose. The practitioner will always strongly
recommend that you consult your G.P. about any medical condition.
HOW LONG WILL A TREATMENT TAKE?
A treatment usually takes to hour to complete. It is advisable to allow 1 hour
for the whole session including an initial introduction and any discussion at
the end of the treatment.
HOW WILL A TREATMENT BE GIVEN?
Most treatments are given with the client seated, but if this is uncomfortable,
or the client would prefer, treatment can be given on a couch.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This depends upon your reaction to healing. Some people need only one treatment,
others return for a number of sessions. In general healing has a cumulative effect
especially on the emotions and thoughts and so often more than one session is
required.
